Supporters of Dulwich Hamlet Football Club - Established 1893

Join us on our Save Dulwich Hamlet Rally - Saturday 17th March 2018

After a week of fast changing events, we are pleased to announce the details for our day of action rally and march on Saturday 17 March 2018.

We are marching to draw attention to the grave threat our football club faces. We want to show how much our 125 year old club means to the local community.

We will rally at Goose Green (opposite the East Dulwich Tavern) at 12.30pm where we will be joined by the following speakers:

  • Liam Hickey – Dulwich Hamlet chairman
  • Al Crane - Chair of the Dulwich Hamlet Supporters' Trust
  • Mishi Morath – Lifelong Dulwich Hamlet fan
  • Helen Hayes - MP for Dulwich and West Norwood
  • Catherine Rose – Southwark councillor and Dulwich Hamlet fan
  • Lord Roy Kennedy - Member of the House of Lords and Millwall fan
  • Ian Feeley - Sheffield Football Club, the world's first football club.

We will then march from Goose Green to OUR home - Champion Hill - for a celebration of Dulwich Hamlet Football Club in St Francis Park.

Who is welcome?

Everyone is welcome - whether you're a Dulwich Hamlet fan, a supporter of another club or someone who cares about the local community, because this issue reaches far beyond Dulwich Hamlet Football Club. This is a family-friendly event so feel free to bring the kids.

Get involved!

  • Please make banners and placards, and make them inventive and colourful as possible. You can download our logos here.
  • You can sign up to our volunteer list to either help on the day or in the future. We are not going away!
  • Tell your family and friends. Share our posts and get the message out on social media
  • Join us at Dulwich Hamlet's temporary home at Tooting & Mitcham FC, Imperial Fields, Bishopsford Road SM4 6BF. (Mitcham tram stop, 118 bus from Morden tube.) All supporters of all clubs are welcome to our game against Worthing on Sunday 18 March. #supportersunited

Dulwich Hamlet is more than just a football club. It is an intrinsic part of the community.

If you want to see a future for Dulwich Hamlet we need you at our rally. We need you decked out in pink and blue. And we need you loud and proud!

Let’s make ourselves heard and let Meadow Residential know we are not going down without a fight!

Mass day of action: Update

Mass day of action: Update

When we originally called the mass day of action it was assumed that we would be playing our game against Worthing FC at Champion Hill. Due to the fast changing nature of events, we now find ourselves in a position where we are waiting to find out where we will actually be playing.

This of course could have an impact on the timings of the march and rally on Goose Green and other details, so as soon as the club inform us, we will publicise details through our usual social media channels and on our website.

In the meantime, feel free to spread the word and start making placards and banners. You can download our logos and other resources from our repository page which you can find here.

Rest assured, our day of action will be going ahead

Statement from Save Dulwich Hamlet

Statement from Save Dulwich Hamlet

Statement from fan group Save Dulwich Hamlet
We're shocked, but not surprised to learn that property developer Meadow Residential is attempting to throw Dulwich Hamlet FC out of Champion Hill, where it has played since 1931
As fans, we've been making plans for a Save Dulwich Hamlet rally and march to take place before the home match against Worthing on Saturday 17 March. We'll update fans and the community on plans for that when we know what's happening with the match.
However, we're encouraged that Southwark Council's cabinet is to discuss a proposal to buy Champion Hill from Meadow - by force if necessary.
We would support any plan to allow Dulwich Hamlet to stay at Champion Hill while building much-needed social housing, and would urge Meadow to talk to Southwark or any similar bidder and start the process of selling up now.
You can help us today in a number of ways:

  1. If you live in Southwark, please email your local councillors and ask them to support the council proposal to buy Champion Hill. If you live over the border in Lambeth, please suggest some neighbourly support. Find their details at www.writetothem.com.
  2. If you live elsewhere in London, please email your London Assembly members and ask them to raise this with the Mayor. We're grateful for Sadiq Khan's support, but please help us make sure this stays on his agenda. Again, find their details at www.writetothem.com
  3. Raise this issue with your local MP. What is happening to Dulwich Hamlet could happen to any community football club, while property developers should not be allowed to bully cherished local institutions. www.writetothem.com
  4. Drop a friendly note to Meadow's US parent company, Meadow Partners LLC. Please. no abuse or threats. Its London office's shocking mismanagement of this scheme is damaging its reputation and wasting its money. Let Andrew McDaniel, who is responsible for the firm in Europe, know why you love Dulwich Hamlet and why Meadow is wasting its time bullying the club. Meadow has nothing to lose and everything to gain by selling up. Contact him and Meadow's New York office at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

We're an independent fan group, acting on our own initiative and not controlled by the club or the supporters' trust. You'll be hearing more from us soon. Let's stick together and save Dulwich Hamlet.

Save Dulwich Hamlet Day of Action - Saturday 17 March 2018

Save Dulwich Hamlet Day of Action - Saturday 17 March 2018

So here we go. The first of our supporter actions to help save Dulwich Hamlet Football Club will be a rally and march before the home match against Worthing on Saturday 17 March.

We'll kick off at Goose Green in East Dulwich - the open space by the East Dulwich Tavern - at 12.30pm. We'll make a song and dance, listen to a few speakers and then make a short noisy march to Champion Hill.

It will be a family-friendly occasion so do bring the kids.

We want everybody there. It's a protest but also a statement of what we are all about as a club. Bring your pink and blue colours, musical instruments, face paints, balloons and banners.

Give us a follow over on Twitter - @saveDHFC - and sign up to our Facebook event page Save DHFC rally and march.

Please share this with your friends - we'll have more news to come. 💖💙💖💙

Much love,
